Music in the Mountains - Park City Style

This summer the mountains of Park City, Utah ring with a variety of music from artists such as LeAnne Rimes, Al Jarreau, Elvis Costello, Chuck Berry and Blood, Sweat and Tears. The summer offers a lattice works of festivals and events that start in July and run through August.

Park City is the place to enjoy music in the mountains this summer. The cool summer temperatures and lush mountain foliage provide a gorgeous backdrop for the endless list of events and concerts scheduled. This event is a five night series of concerts that runs from July through August at the Deer Valley Resort Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Blood, Sweat and Tears - a mixture of blues, jazz, and rock, July 3, 2009 and Chuck Berry "Father of Rock and Roll", August 29, 2009, are just a few featured artists for this event.

The Deer Valley Music Festival is considered a summer home for the Utah Symphony and Utah Opera. Glenn Dicterow, Concertmaster, New York Philharmonic, says "The Deer Valley Music Festival is one of the most magical spots on earth for chamber music." Join the Utah Symphony for Independence Day as they kick off the festival with a Patriotic Celebration. LeAnne Rimes will join the Utah Symphony, Saturday, July 25, 2009. Elvis Costello wraps up the festival Saturday, August 23, 2009.

August 21 - 23, Fidelity Investments Jazz Festival fills the air with cutting-edge jazz and old favorites, including Esperanza Spalding, Poncho Sanchez, and Al Jarreau.

Looking for free concerts this summer? Mountain Town Stages promotes local musicians, scheduling free summer outdoor concerts at five stages all over town. Every Wednesday night, Wells Fargo and the Park City Performing Arts Foundation host a free local concert at the Deer Valley outdoor amphitheater.
