ResortQuest Delaware Exceeds 2008 Reservations by August 2009 Through Instant Software's Online Distribution Solution

By mid-day August 6, ResortQuest Delaware announced that it set a new record for the number of online bookings and guest stays. While only 218 days into the year, more reservations were made online than the total number of online reservations recorded in 2008. In addition, online bookings made in July 2009, by number and volume, were up approximately 45% over July 2008.

Google Awards ResortQuest Second Place in Display Ad Builder Contest

ResortQuest won second place in a contest sponsored by the search giant, Google. The contest challenged advertisers to use their creativity and innovation to create compelling new display ad builder ads. The winning entries stood out for their choices of template, ad copy, use of images, and overall creativity.

ResortQuest’s winning entry promoted the vacation rental leader’s Destin condos, which are available to anyone interested in short-term, luxury accommodations. Google noted the ads received “a low cost per conversion” compared to other ads, meaning they were most effective in generating bookings and revenue.

John Ellis and Rob Earp manage ResortQuest’s online advertising. John Ellis said, “Low cost per conversion was achieved because the cost per click model is far more efficient than cost-per-impression contracts typically required when launching banner campaigns.” Rob Earp added, “The ease of constructing ads combined with the versatility of purchasing placements on the fly will change how we all purchase and manage display advertising.”
