It's Official! Steamboat has hit the 100" inches mark of incredible fluffy epic snow! Steamboat is seriously rocking some fabulous early-season ski conditions that are making the skiing and riding feel like mid-winter conditions.
"The 2010/11 season is shaping up to be remembered as the best start in more than a decade and already a legendary snow year. And, we're less than a month into the season," continued Rob Perlman, senior vice president of sales and marketing for the Steamboat Ski and Resort Corporation. "With the snowiest November on record in the books, Mother Nature's attention is squarely focused on Steamboat —Ski Town, USA, and powderhounds couldn't be happier!"
Monday morning (11/29/2010) we awoke to 13 inches of powder that had fallen the afternoon and night before, making for some incredible powder! And, another 8 inches fell at the summit overnight last night!
Current conditions for Steamboat Ski Resort Report:
- 9 inches in the last 24 hours
- 20 inches in the last 48 hours
- 47-inch base
- And, drum-roll please — Steamboat has hit the 100-inch mark, and it's not even December!!! A total of 111" of pure white snow has fallen already this year! Will Steamboat hit the 500"? We can all hope and do a few extra powder dances! See the current weather conditions.
