“With call center, operations and check-in associates for Kiawah and Seabrook Islands all now working from one centralized location, our day-to-day operations are streamlined allowing us to better serve our homeowners and guests,” said Phillip Tumminia, general manager, Wyndham Vacation Rentals, Charleston Islands. “The move also offers an ideal opportunity to further our rebranding efforts as we transition from the ResortQuest name to Wyndham Vacation Rentals.”
The rebranding efforts include all new signage throughout the Charleston Islands of Kiawah, Isle of Palms and Seabrook. Charleston-resident, David Boatwright, is the artist commissioned for part of the project and will be painting murals of seascapes throughout Freshfields Village that incorporate the Wyndham Vacation Rentals brand. Additionally, new marketing materials will be created as the region works toward a full brand transition over the next year.
“The Charleston Islands, along with other markets including Myrtle Beach and Hilton Head, are among the first destinations in our portfolio to participate in this nationwide rebranding initiative,” said Bob Milne, president, Wyndham Vacation Rentals, North America. “The process will be strategic and gradual as we roll-out the Wyndham Vacation Rentals name, giving guests the assurance of a global hospitality brand that they have long wanted in the marketplace.”
With its acquisition of ResortQuest in 2010, Wyndham Vacation Rentals, part of the Wyndham Worldwide family of brands (NYSE: WYN), added approximately 6,000 U.S. properties. Today, Wyndham Vacation Rentals has a global portfolio of more than 100,000 properties in over 600 unique destinations including some of the most sought-after beach, ski, mountain, theme park, golf and tennis resort destinations.
The beautiful vacation rental homes on the barrier islands surrounding Charleston are professionally-managed by more than 40 associates, 30 of which are now relocated to the new Freshfields Village location.
